period question

hey girls. i have a question for those of you on the pill. have any of you ever gotten your period earlier than expected, when you were still taking the regular pills and had about a week and a half to go before you got to the "fake" ones? is there a reason for this? I've been on the pill for most of the last 11 years and while i'm on it, my period always comes around like clockwork, on the same day each month. I've skipped pills here and there, and the only thing that would happen was i'd get my period a day or two later. yesterday i felt a little cramping and just assumed it was a pms thing, since it's not due to come until next week. when i got home, i realized i was bleeding. i never had it this early while on the pill, and i'm pretty consistant taking it.

I've been told that when you start using the pill on a young age, and use it for years.. the chance of having these bleedings can get pretty high.

I guess the best thing you could do is stop taking the pill for a while, and let your body take care of it. Altough I couldn't do without my pill :)

Oh and if you are under lots of stress, your period can get messed up too..

That's funny because I actually
have until the end of this week to
go on my 'real' pills and I had a
little bleeding yesterday... but I
have afeeling that was just from
sex...

besides that I haven't ever had
bleeding, but I have onlyt been
on the pill for about 6 years, I
think.

in the last 8 years i've been on two different pills and have never had that problem. if it happens often you might want to go and see your gynocologist, just to make sure things are ok.

i've never had that happen on the pill but i haven't taken it for that long. i did have it happen 2 months in a row once. i think my cycle was changing and i got it 14 days after i had just ended. then it went back to the 28 days. i think that was from stress and i had also lost a lot of wieght. i wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again and then i would ask the gyno. you may need to take a break or maybe switch brands.
