i'll admit that i do. but its not "poetry" so to speak.I like to think of it as death metal lyrics that i havent written the music to yet.

The Shore

I used to think the shore was my only friend
The crashing waves, repeated words of encouragement
On the sand I could sit for hours
And let my thoughts flow as swift as the current

The shore never spoke unkindly
It always let me speak my mind
It never thought to interrupt me
Or disappear if I started to cry

The only other onlookers, some birds and some rocks
But neither seemed to care
They too sat and sympathetically listened
Because their problems could never compare

Miles and years from there the shore and I still speak
It may seem hard to believe but it's true
Only that shore now walks and talks and breathes
That shore has become you
