I never liked Adam Samdler movies, although I liked Little Nicky. I never really got into the Star War movies. And I hated Titanic, mostly because it was too long and I can't stand Leonardo DiCaprio.

This is a hard one since I've never seen a movie I didn't like. Wait a minute, I've never seen a movie. I always fall asleep after the credits roll and dream of me running around in fields of cheesecakes with a giant fork and spoon. Oh and yes, I have checked out those dreams with a shrink.

American Beauty
Kalifornia
Titanic
Almost Famous (I LOATHE 70s rock music)
ANY Adam Sandler movie
ANY Spike Lee movie (maybe THE most overrated filmmaker of all time)
Perfect Storm
Both Mission Impossible movies

All of those are either horrible or RIDICULOUSLY overrated.

I'd also like to add:

Every Tom Hanks movie (sans Saving Private Ryan)
A Beautiful Mind (good acting by Crowe, blah movie)

Good topic. Half the movies on this thread I own and love,(Pulp Fiction, Sling Blade, Ghost World, everything by Monty Python...), and the other half I dispise, (Titanic, Mission Impossible 1&2, Oliver Stone flicks...).

My all time most hated movie: The Patriot. I hate American pro-war propaganda films more than anything, and that was the all-time worst. Saving Private Ryan - good filmmaking - bad film.

Anything historically based is inevitably Hollywooded up, becomes a lie, and I can't bear to watch it - Pearl Harbor, JFK, Nixon, 13 Days, anything Disney.

American Psycho, Air Force One, Jerry Maguire, and the worst movie of all time = Murder at the Superbowl!

2001: A Space Odyssey

I have this theory that you have to be HIGH to think that 2001: A Space Odyssey is good.

Movies "everyone" loved but I hated:

Titanic (Forget Leo, my butt went numb and even the special effects couldn't distract me from the wretchedness of the movie)

Eyes Wide Shut (I kept expecting something to happen, but I felt trapped in pretension and artifice, which was probably the point, but it doesn't mean I have to enjoy it)

Other than that, I don't know who this general "everyone" includes, but I rarely heard favorable language about Phantom Menace unless the people were die-hard Star Wars fans to begin with (this includes the 1st 3 flicks AND the novels). *shrug* But that's just me.

I never saw Goodfellas and don't want to. And i've only seen very short parts the Godfather movies, and didn't get the idea that I would've like the rest.

didn't like Either lord of the rings. I never read the books so i couldn't get into it. Also its three friggin hours i can't sit that long and not be entertained. also hated the following

SIXTH SENSE : that lazy ending simply does not work.

PRETTY WOMAN & DIRTY DANCING : The ladies really seem to like these two movies. It speaks to them in some alien language that I simply do not speak.

STAR WARS eps 1 and 2: My high school play had better acting.....and better special FX.

oh yeah.... I also hate ALL period pieces. Everything from Dangerous Liasons to Braveheart. It just never looks authentic to me.
