i don't generally get manicures, but i went for one the other day. i find it incredibly odd and uncomfortable when they massaged my hands with lotion, and especially when they massaged my back while my nails were drying. the whole thing just seemed so degrading somehow. do any of you ladies feel the same, or am i nuts?

I got fake nails for my wedding and kept them until fungus started to grow between my real nail and the fake one. EWWW!

I always felt judged when I went to the nail place. The women would all talk to each other in Chinese and I was so paranoid they were talking about me!

Okay, I have NEVER had my back massaged while my nails were drying, NO ONE has ever done that to me. I don't know *what* that was about. And personally, I LOVE it when my manicurist takes that lotion with the little granules in it and rubs my hands down quickly. Since it's something no one else ever does to me, it feels awesome. Maybe your manicurist/salon was odd?
