I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout, made it to "First Class". Our Patrol was more of a youth gang, heading off to camps in Jersey like Ten Mile River, Alpine and a few others. We carried shopping bags, had blacks and Perto Ricans and scared the hell out of the "Whitebread" troops. I was Patrol Leader, but nobody ever listened to me anyway. They finally broke us up..for smoking and swearing.

I was a tiger cub, but it was in Co-op City, so its not like we went camping or fishing or really did anything other than "search discover, and share . . ." bleh!

I am actually an Eagle scout...I was in scouts till I was 18. It was fun but it is not until now that I can even mention it to other people without being embarassed. I never wore my uniform, no one ever knew, especially the girls in class.
See Ya!
I have no shame in admitting that I was both a brownie and a junior girl scout (i think thats what the green ones were called) and we were troop 199 and we had a unicorn crest. I stopped girl scouts after 5th grade when my best friends mom (the scout leader) flipped out and called us all selfish maniacal (sp?) bitches and walked out of the meeting. My mom wasn't too keen on that....

All this talk of scouting reminds me of something funny I saw the other day about Merit Badges that didn't make it . (God damn, im a whore)

You should be very proud science, that is a great accomplishment. You will be President someday!
Gwen, my sister's were both Brownies and Girl Scouts, do they still "fly up"?

It's not that I am not proud..It's just...try being a boy scout in H.S. during the 90's...it's a roundtable of ass-kicking and the topic of discussion is me and my boy scout uniform.
See Ya!

I was asked to leave Girl Scouts because of my lousy attitude. I never handed in the cookie money and bought a pair of clogs instead.
Oh you can't stop me. I'm a wild woman.
