That movie was stupid good. Don't give it any more credit than it deserves, it's a way to waste two hours, but it ain't Indiana Jones.
Riddle me this:
-Why is Anubis such a selfish prick? If Imhotep wins, then he gets the army of Anubis. If Scorpion King wins, then he gets the army of Anubis. Brendan Frasier wins, where's his damn army?! He could use them to build orphanages, or just give them to people as pets.
-I can understand that you have to introduce some new plotlines in the sequel, but COME ON. Brendan Frasier has a tattoo that wasn't there in the first movie, that practically makes him the Christ of Egypt, and somehow the Magi, who knows everything about everything and shares it without being asked, DOESN'T NOTICE IT FOR OVER 12 YEARS?!?!? Yeah, he's doing a great job.
And the chick? Really, how many white egyptians were there, especially the daugters of Pharaohs? Chalk one more up to the magi for not noticing she's the reincarnation of a person directly related to the material he knows best. Mind you, she had NOTHING to do with the Scorpion King, so there's no reason she shouldn't have realized this in the first movie.
-When Brendan Frasier is in the bus being chased by the mummies, and he turns to the camera, shakes his fist and says angrily, "I hate mummies!", didn't you want to punch humanity?
-What was up with the evil midgets? They never explained what they were. I thought it would have been much cooler had they been introduced as the fabled dead first-born of Egypt, though I'm sure that would have been considered sacrilege.
-Why is everyone saying that the Scorpion King effect was great? It looked like a cartoon.
I've got many more, but I don't want to scare everyone.
