When i was younger, I used to go to see rocky horror every saturday night. i would dress up in costume and shout out all the audience participation parts. my friends would usually go there high or drunk, but i would stay sober, because i wouldn't need it surround by my fellow freaks.
i remember it being some of the best times of my life
then in college, me and some friends used to perform it every other saturday (i played Riff Raff, and/ or eddie). and we were damn good.
its a shame that rocky horror is so hard to find these days. only a few theaters still show it :(
does anyone else go, or did they used to go?

I never cared for Rocky Horror. I was across the street at The Waverly watching "Basketcase" or "Eraserhead" at midnight.

Ah yes I use to go every weekend at the 8th Street playhouse (in the heyday of Rocky Horror with Sal and Dori). As a tradition my friends woudl get together every year to see it.
I would love to get a road trip to see it again.

I have never seen it in the theater but I did go to the play several times when it was on Broadway. It wasn't as crazy as the movie crowds can be but it's worth seeing the people who went in with no clue what was going to happen. The shocked look on their faces were priceless. One day, I'll go to the movie theater and hang with the freaks. For now, I'll just get ready to hang with the freaks for Star Wars at the Ziegfeld.

I'm at Rocky every Saturday night out in Montclair, NJ. I'm one of the directors of the cast, so if anyone wants to come out let me know. A lot of the cast and audience are fans of the shows on WNEW. I was across the street at The Waverly watching Basketcase or Eraserhead at midnight.
Actually Heckler, the phenomenom started at the Waverly in '75 and enjoyed a nice run of midnight movies after that.
