Since I just watched the Dudley Boyz dvd,the ECW mark in me has come out.So I thought I would start another thread asking for your favorite ECW moments/wrestlers/angles/women or whatever you want, because I know we all are missing ECW.

My personal favorite moment was in the last year of ECW. It was an ECW on TNN taping at the Hammerstein Ballroom. I got my tickets fairly late, so I was expecting to be in the upper atmosphere, but instead I was seated on the entrance platform, sitting with the wrestlers' wives & girlfriends. Paul E watched half the show standing right next to me, and even was willing to strike up a little conversation in between screaming into his headset.
Some of the highlights: Balls' wife is almost as big as he is, Kid Kash's girlfriend (at the time) is SMOKIN', the Sandman made his signature through-the-crowd entrance and used my shoulder to get up on the chair in front of me and open his first beer. My RVD shirt got soaked with Bud, and my kid brother was the first underaged recipient of some of the Sandman's frosty beverage. The bummer was that the Sandman even suprised the cameramen because the camera didn't pick him up until he was almost ringside. So much for my potential 5 seconds of fame.
God, do I miss ECW!

I was lucky enough to be around ECW in its heyday when i went to the university of delaware in 1994-1995 and saw many an ECdub event before they were big and as their name grew. I was at the first PPV, i was there the night of the mob scene when cactus jack and terry funk lit a chair on fire and it got kicked into the crowd and caught a fan on fire, i was there the night Brian Pillman returned and almost caused a riot...ahh the good old days. As far as matches go PPV wise, the 3 man tag of spike, sandman, and dreamer vs the dudleys with spikes 20-25 foot jump off the ladder and the RVD and Sabu vs. 2 Jappanese guys was possibly the best match i have ever seen
Shaolin shadowboxing, and the Wu-Tang sword style
If what you say is true, the Shaolin and the Wu-Tang
could be dangerous
Do you think your Wu-Tang sword can defeat me?
En garde, I'll let you try my Wu-Tang style

Heatwave 98.
And the match was Sabu / RVD vs. Hayabusa / Jinsei Shinzaki (who were probably representing FMW).
Hayabusa is currently crippled and you may remember Jinsei from his embarassing stint as "Hakushi" in the WWF.

Favorite match would probably be Dean Malenko v. Eddie Guererro 2/3 falls, their last matche in ECW. Great match, and as I have it on one of the DVD's I watch it all the time.

I remember a long time ago like 1996,there was a show like Hard copy or Extra or something that had a special report on violence in wrestling and they had this really fat kid who was sickly or something and he was sueing ECW because he was a guest of somebody working for ECW and then the Gangstas came out told him to come to the ring. When he did they beat the hell out of him and cut his forehead up and they had audio of his dad ringside screaming for help but the crowd thought it was part of the show.He wound up sueing ECW.I dont know if I have the details right but if anybody remembers what im talking about post back.

Eric Kulas, the infamous "Mass Transit" incident.
Kulas didn't win his case, basically because he lied quite a bit about the particulars.
He was a young kid, 17 or so, BUT he went to Heyman & ECW and presented himself as a *trained wrestler* when he was nothing of the sort. They stuck in a match with the Gangstas, and he himself asked New Jack to do a bladejob on him. Jack cut him too deep, and he was bleeding like a pig. He & his father sued ECW, and I even believe they tried to prosecute New Jack on assault charges, but they lost both cases. The civil suit was lost because Kulas himself changed his story several times and fell apart on the witness stand, plus there were tons of inconsistencies (like the fact that HE went to Heyman, and gave him false information about his background (i.e. experience), and after the blade job it was shown that Kulas used an old wrestling technique to make the blood flow even faster. Little things like that).
ECW wasn't totally without blame....Heyman should have had better control over the situation, and the LAST thing you should ever do is ask New Jack to blade you, but basically Kulas was no innocent victim in this mess.

One of my favorite moments was when Brian Pillman made his first appearance in the ECW Arena. Also, the Raven- Dreamer feud was my favorite. That was possibly one of the best booked angle I have seen.

And Christmas would never be the same when 911 chokeslammed Santa and when Stevie Richards Steviekicked Santa in Rockerfeller Center.

Now I have to go through the collection and find my old tapes.

Thanks for clearing that up Se7en.I knew it was something like that.
I'm having a hard time coming up with a favorite moment. All I know was ECW had so many good points.I like some of the backstage segments like when Francine was giving Justin Credible head in a bathroom stall or when Pillman did that promo laying on a rug and he had a giant pencil he was holding choking him.LOL he really was a "ticking time bomb".When the hell is the WWF going to put these guys on t.v.I hate bitching and complaining but im sick of seeing Regal and DDP and Christian and Mr. Perfect and the Bossman.I know alot of people like them but why not show Justin Credible,Lance Storm,Tommy Dreamer, etc. These guys can carry a story.Plus its a travesty that the Dudleyz split and Jerry Lynn got axed.I really wonder sometimes what the hell the writing team is doing. It pisses me off and im not really a mark who complains about everything but enough is enough.

Het Hosp,I know you know alot of wrestlling so I have a question,on the Dudleyz last appearance in Ecw in Queens when they won the titles and then Raven came back and took the titles back the Dudleyz were trying to get Dreamer in the ring and they6 said something about Francine getting double teamed was that just something they were saying or was that a real story from inside the locker room because I could swear I heard something like that?

One of my favorite ECW moments was Raven was
giving a great promo.... He was ending it by going
down and escalator and you were like cool promo....
Then he yells I can't take this shit anymore and
goes running into Stevie Richards dressing room....
At this time they were on iffy grounds at best...
Raven yells I need you to take out someone for
me.... Richard's says who... SANDMAN?
DREAMER??? I AM TIRED OF THIS.... Raven yells no I
want you to take me out.... Only Raven would put a
price on his own head... unfortunately he left the
ECW soon after this promo and it never developed

What about the infamous crucifixtion angle with Raven and Sandman? That was good stuff. In Kurt Angles book he talks about being ringside for that match and how offensive he thought it was.Or what about when the crowd went nuts and were throwing their chairs in the ring in the match with Cactus and Funker.Only in ECW.I miss ECW their will never be another.
