Ill admit it, I used to be an AWSOME soccer player, I was going to make the travel team if my father hadn't lied about my age to place me with kids younger than me when he was a coach. But After that everythng went down hill. I havent even picked up since

I played baseball and basketball in the town league as a kid. I high school I was on the golf, track and cross-country teams (suitable for my skinny build).

Once I hit college I joined the drinking and chain smoking teams.

Yup... i was a jock... played soccer since i was 4. Highschool lettered all four years in soccer and in spring track.. i was a captain in both sports my senior year.. College had to work to stay there so i just played intramurals.. i am looking at getting myself set up as a soccer coach for home a league as soon as my job hours switch..

Well, I guess I was. However, I always hated the term , 'Jock' , because I was into music and theatre as well..

My father also HATED that I chose arts/ theatre over sports. He would actually SHOUT during my tennis tournaments, and I wanted to die from embarassment..

seriously, I was able to play football very well, as we used to call it "making toast" my two oldest brothers were very good quarterbacks and I was a favorite target...
for about 3 years my oldest brother and me would pay almost the whole team fee to go play in Brooklyn on Sunday mornings...we would get up at 7 and travel from Jersey City and Bayonne to get there...
we lived to play football and any other neighborhood team...

Yeah, I guess you could say I was. But it always bothered folks that thought I could have played football in college and possibly gone pro that I never took it seriously. It was always a game and a reason to go to parties and get drunk.

<p>I played football and lacrosse but never really stopped playing pick-up basketball or football until last October when i tore the ACL and have the leg zipper, now no sports this whole summer except for running or jogging lucky me.</p><p>Plus tough to be a jock when you are older then you get the term weekend warrior who plays adult games, like paintball.</p>
