Hollywood Video or Blockbuster? [Archive]

I prefer Hollywood because they let you rent their movies (old or new) for 5 days. The DVD section is not bad. I like buying my DVD "previously viewed" and Hollywood has allot of them. So budget wise it's the better choice. Which do you prefer?

Yeah, Hollywood is better. The selection is pretty much the same, plus you get to keep everything - no matter how new or old - for 5 days. Plus they're very affordable in their charges.

Hollywood's better than Blockbuster, IMO.

I live in NYC and can't find a Hollywood. All I have is Blockbuster and they are not really all that good.

Hollywood is much better, their selection is twice the size of blockbuster, they don't edit their own movies, they have harder to find movies and video games, they have multiple copies of video games, they are cheaper, they are only 4 minutes from my house

Blockbuster. A couple of years ago, I was going to get a second job at Hollywood video after my real job, for extra money. The first and last day I worked there, I was kinda harassed by the manager. What a dork...he was obsessed with Journey, and told me that after I came in to be interviewed, he later on was watching porn in the store and was fantasizing about kissing me and having sex with me in the store. and he kept asking me if it'd be alright if he kissed me, because he really liked me. Needless to say, I never went back there, and I had a "mutual" friend go in there to kinda scare him.

sorry about your misfortune but your gripe is with the manager not with Hollywood Video.

Where is this Hollywood? I gotta see it to believe it. Every Blockbuster I've ever seen is HUGE!

i'd vote for hollywood, but i don't rent my dvd's. i watch my movies on cable and then buy the ones i know i want. i love watching the audio commentaries by the directors and actors. The Farrely Brothers have great commentaries.

Hollywood video all the way. Better selection, much better prices, 5 almost 6 day rentals rent on Tuesday bring back by midnight on Sunday. None of this noon bullshit.

Hollywood also runs deals like right now for 9.95 you get to rent one get one free for a month. The deal ends on the 15th to register for the month. Last time they gave it to me for 2 months.

Screw blockbuster.

We want Ron and Fez live in DC.
