What does it mean ladies when you tell a guy..."you mean the world to me, you are the greatest friend, kisser, advisor, etc...". But when I kiss that same person they say "I am afraid of messing up something good...". Is this a crazy situation or is it just me?? Why would someone say this??? I am soooooooooooooo lost on something like this, and very much hurt...I have deep feelings for this person and she claims to have so for me but still does this...what should I do??

She's afraid of commitment, and she's afraid it will end badly. That's all I can think of. I have been friends with someone, really good friends and it turned into a relationship(s). I wish now I had said "wait, this will fuck us up forever". I don't know what to tell you, Is it better to have that person as a lover for an undetermined amount of time, or is it better to have a friend for life? You tell me.

Gaia's right. It seems she is unsure of whether you two should take the next step or not. I've had conversations like this with friends before. When giving the choice of being with someone romantically for a few years then breaking up and never seeing that person again or never getting together and being friends for the rest of your lives which would you choose? Some of my guy friends are way too important to me to ever want to lose so I'd never date them, even if I do have feelings for them. It sucks but it's probably for the best. Good luck Doogie

yeah, bjs in the hot tub. but i must admit, i
have all the sim expansion packs. am i the biggest
loser or what?
Theres two theories on this and theyre different
depending on who we are talking about, its
different for each person.
Theres theory one that she's been bruised up
emotionally before and her natural defense
mechanism is telling her to becareful. She could be
running to avoid pain, or just have soemthing inside
her that keeps her away from good relationships
(weve all doen this at one time or another),
Theres this other theory that says NO MATTER
WHAT IF SOMEONE WANTS TO BE WITH YOU THEY
WILL. for example, women who know theyre dating
a married man but still do. People who know theyre
being cheated on and still stay. And weve all told
people now and again that we like them but dont
want to dive in right now.
Its a very tough situation, im sorry you have to go
through this. My best advice is just listen her to her
and find out what she really wants. Give her time to
think on it.

This might sound harsh dude, but take it from someone who's been there more times than he cares to admit...stay friends but find a woman that wants to make love to you, this "I don't want to ruin our friendship" shit will drive you crazy...find someone else...good luck!

I'm so sorry you feel this way ... rejection sucks!
She is afraid of ruining a great friendship. I don't know what else to say.
I want one of my friends ... and I don't want to mess up a good thing, so I am keeping my mouth shut! ;-)
Good luck sweetie! ;-)

Being hurt is never fun. It sounds to me like she's just keeping her options open and that certainly isn't fair to you. Have a long talk over a bottle of wine (truth serum) and see what happens. Don't be afraid of walking away either if what you learn isn't what you wanted to know. Don't sacrifice your self-esteem for someone who might be laughing behind your back. You owe it to your heart to find out the truth.
Whatever happens, best of luck to you.

sometimes when someone's says something, its the truth. Maybe she's looking into the future with you, relationship, romance, eventual break up, and never speaking to you again.
Its that last part that scares her. If you can convince her that it won't happen, maybe then you got a chance. But that's a big if. if she's so close to you now, that's a big fear for her (and rightfully so!). boyfriends come and go, but friends are forever.
