In honor of the summer I wanna know what you guys thought the best ice cream that the Ice Cream man brought you was. Im not talkin about Mr. Softee here, I mean an Ice cream bar or popsicle.
Our Ice Cream Truck was called the Ding Dong Cart. It still makes me laugh to think about it. My three faves were
1. Fat Frogs (they were green with M&M eyes...tasty!)
2. Supermario brothers faces (mario had a bubble gum nose)
3. Creamsicles....those are sooooooo good, but not as good as the frogs)

definitely fat frogs - they were so great! i cant seem to find them anywhere anymore tho :(

I don't mean to be Al dukes-esque but I love the plain vanilla cone with rainbow sprinkles. And the bomb pop is the best- you know, the one that's red white and blue. It's so patriotic!

Well from the now defunct Mr. Softee truck my favorite ice cream was Toasted Almond or Strawberry Shortcake.

I forget what it's called, but it's in the same line of the Good Humor Chocolate Eclaire bars...they were chocolate, with little rice krispie thingies, with vanilla ice cream inside and in the middle, a chocolate bar on the popsicle.

Otherwise I'd go with the Mario faces. Is there any reason he had the big red W.C. Fields nose other than they needed to put the Bubble Gum somewhere? I was eating Mario the lush.

The chocolate ice cream you were talking about Pootertoot, is called Good Humor Candy Center Crunch Bar. I liked that one also but it wasn't a favorite of mine.

Anything from "Mr. Softee"!
The trucks had the "Mr. Softee" theme music...I felt like "Pavlov's Dog" whenever I heard it.

OMG! Fat frogs were the best! I forgot about them! Snowcones, Strawberry shortcake bars, Marino's italian ice (cherry or lemon), and the vanilla ice cream cone that was rolled in fudge and nuts..I forgot the name.

Piddlers and BJQ's do it better....

EMB: there are three names for those ice creams (those are mighty tasty). Its either called a nutty buddy, a king cone or a drumstick

I was always afraid of "Good Humor" guys. Many were kid touchers.Boy, the things some kids would do for a few "dixie cups" and a "strawberry shortcake"!
