it's that wonderful hormonal time again and i'm on the verge of crying, screaming and being really depresed. it's so bad today that i don't care if i eat or not. the army could find bin laden, hang and quarter him and it wouldn't phase me a bit. don't take me wrong, i'm not always this bad, just this time.
so, i was wondering what you ladies did to cheer yourself up when its that time?

i get that bad alot, i have a very heavy , uh , time.. and most people dont want to be near me when its that time... what i do, is i listen to alot of music.. or soothing sounds tapes.. i actually have soothing sounds on my alarm clock.. and i meditate... tring to keep my body in focus...

on another note.. have you ever heard about the birth control shot? its a shot you get ever 3 months and after 3 shots, you dont get your period anymore.... im actually starting it soon.. ill let you know how it goes..

i'll usually take a hot shower or hop in the jacuzzi, and load up on the drugs to get rid of the cramps.

Chocolate + video games cures it for me. I am currently spouting blood like a fountain out of my vergina and its heavier than usual :(

Inky, if you're talking about the Depo-provera shot be careful. the first 3 months i was on it, I had spotting the whole time, so i didn't want to have sex anyway, then I gained 20 pounds. A couple of my friends who were on it also gained over 10 pounds each. Plus it hurts a lot because they give you the shot in your asscheck.

My friend used to take the birth control shot and she got pregnant. I'm sure it only happens to like one in a million people but I don't trust it and with all those awful things Missy said, I'd rather just take the pill......

To cheer myself up I usually surround myself with my friends and just hang out and drink some cocktails....That always helps...Or try excercising..that usually takes away cramps too

i haven't got to the point where the cramps bother me. i'm just very emotional and depressed. i just want to cry. thanks everyone for your advice.

This is going to sound weird ... but I sometimes get suicidal right before "that time" ... I get very depressed ... hormones suck! :-(

i haved about all those side effects.. but to me... its worth it... in 9 months, no period? WOOHOO

Try aggravating your boyfriend, being really abusive. That seemed to cheer up my EX girlfriend a lot.

you guys dont even know how bad i get. its terrible and the only thing i can really do is tell myself its hormonal and all the crap im tellin myself isnt true cajse its hormal.
