Mine was one of the first Teen Titans from 1968 or 1969. I remember going to the local candy store and picking it out because the colors on the cover were so cool.

It was an "Amazing Spider-Man"...either 1969 or '70. He was fighting Doctor Octopus.
Although it would probably be worth a pretty penny today, I remember I cut it all up and hung the pictures of Spidey all over my room.

First one I can remember owning was a Spider-Man comic where he teamed up with the Black Cat to fight Hobgoblin 2. I still have it, but it's all beat up and dog-eared.

Todd Mc Farlane's first Spider man gig wich ever that number was. I also learned the difference between buying comic books at the news stand and buying them at the comic book store. The ones at the comic book store had pictures on the bottom left hand corner whereas the ones at the news stand had bar codes.

I never bought a comic book in my life! However, I did stumble upon a HUGE collection of Archie Comics, in from of my neighbors house. Just typing this brings back fond memories of bringing home the box to my mother begging her if I could keep them. I swear to you it feels like yesterday! There were litterally over 100 comic books in there, sadly slowly one by one dissapeared, Until i was left with basically none due to my irresponsibility

There's a place in the world for the angry young man With his working class ties and his radical plansHe refuses to bend, he refuses to crawl,He's always at home with his back to the wall. And he's proud of his scars and the battles he's lost,And he struggles and bleeds as he hangs on the cross-And he likes to be knowns as the angry young man.

Batman, circa 1965. My home was flooded with DC, Marvel and my sister's Archie comics. I read them all.

Uncanny X-men , and I can't remember the actual cover #. The storyline revolves around Wolverine fighting Sabertooth in the Morlock tunnels below Manhattan. It is the first book of a two book series. I think the book is worth $15 now.

I used to buy Richie Rich comics like they was going out of style, until I found X-Men. I still have somewhere (at least I hope I do, if my parents didn't throw it out) the entire "Kitty gonna marry that nasty nasty Morlock" storyline from the early 80s, as well as most of the Dark Phoenix saga. I was a big Kitty Pryde mark. Mmm, Shadowcat.

I think it was an Avengers comic. I used to love that comic. Thor, Cap America, Iron Man, Vision, Scarlet Witch. God I used to have a ton of those back in the early 70's.
We want Ron and Fez live in DC.

There was a time back in the 60's and 70's where used book stores sold old comics in bulk, or maybe a penny a comic. I would buy tons.

Crack was to Mad what Penthouse was to Playboy. I never liked Cracked but they did have some funny stuff at times.

In my earlier years I also like to collect "Monster' mags. They were a great help with my Aurora monster models,Frankenstien(or schteen),Dracula,Werewolf,Mummy, ect.
Before I bought the magazine,I painted eveything black, white, and grey.A true T.V. child of the 60's.

It was an early edition X-Men. I believe it was when they fought the creaturesknown as the Kree( I think this was the storyline based somewhat on the movie Alien). My uncle gave me my first comic, I can't believe I didn't keep it. It was an X-men when Iceman still looked like a friggin' snowman.
I didn't see anything, I didn't hear anything, I wasn't there and if I was there I was asleep.

Transformers #1, when I was grade school. Kept with that sucker for all six years, too.
I can't remember what my first "mainstream" superhero comic might have been. I know TF was dead a little while, and my friends were into Marvel's Inker Renaissance (McFarlane, Lee, Liefeld, et.all), who soon left to become to Image. Yes, I jumped in on the rise of a speculator boom. It sucked to be me.
