when I was little, the
neverending story made me cry
tears i didnt know I had, but
after today I can say that The
Matthew Shepherd HBO movie is
the SADDEST thing I have ever
seen. Not only did it make me
cry- it made me angry, but what
an amazing piece of art. the
ability to make emotions flip like
that. If you havent seen it yet-
watch it, youll learn something-
and bring tissues.

The end of Untamed Heart when Christian Slater's character dies in the car on the way back from the North Stars game. Marisa Tomei's character is trying to wake him and she realizes he's dead and she's crying. Meanwhile his dog is jumping around and barking cause he's happy his master is home. My heart breaks for the dog :(

Schindler's List
When Liam Neeson's character at the end is talking about if he had only sold some of his jewlery he could have bought more Jews to save. Gosh, that movie haunts me.
When I saw the movie in the theater, I nearly killed this guy who started laughing during the scene where Ralph Fiennes is trying to shoot a man and his gun won't go off. This ASSHOLE thought it was like a scene out of the Three Stooges. My friend had to hold me back, but needless to say he didn't laugh again duing the movie.

It may not be the saddest movie ever, but the saddest scene I've seen in recent years was from the movie "Return to Me" starring David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. In it, Duchovny's wife has died in an auto accident but her dog won't stop waiting by the front door for her to come home.
It hit me hard.

yeah, i'm thinking this selection isn't totally a sad one, but when i saw "weapons of mass distraction" with ben kingsley and gabriel byrne, at the end there was just this sense of despair that was like "wow" and really really brought me down. man did that bum me out.
other than that, i tend to stay away from movies that would tend to make one sad. i still love my "b" horror movie all the way.
