I got home from the parade detail having been down on Fifth Ave since 4am making sure that the barricades were up.
I couldn't stick around to see the rest of the parade since it would have bitter sweet for me . I have covered this parade 21 times out of my career.
I just did my job and went home like a good boy!

Hi Mr. Reeshy!

It sounds like you had a relatively problem-free assignment today. I hope it was fun for you!

I know this will sound so trite, but thank you, Mr. Reeshy!!!

So tell us, how is sweet little Angie??????

Reeshy, I echo Alice's sentiments. Thanks for just being there.

Question for you since you've done parade detail for so many years... Is there any difference when the parade is held on a weekend rather than during the week? Any logistical nightmares? Different kind of people showing up?

I'm looking down your blouse right now and you don't even know it.

First let me say-
Ms. Fuzzybutt- Angie says hello- she is doing great!

My first parade was in 1974- drunks all over the place. Over the years, things have gotten better, I was just there today with a detail of recruits from the Police Academy to put up barricades as cars moved out of their parking spots. After that. I dismissed them and went home!-Really Heroic!
