Coke 2, or "New Coke", was one of the biggest bombs in business history.
Some "genius" decided that Coke needed a new taste, so they created this crap. The "older" Coke was still available, labeled "Classic Coke". The company took a huge hit on this, and finally came to their senses.
The Crystal Pepsi was another bomb. For some reason, people thought "clear" drinks would start a new trend. It bombed. Snapple even tried it with it's root beer and cola. It failed.
And that's your soft drink history lesson for today! :)

I actually used to drink Pepsi Clear. It sort of tasted like cola with a bit of ginger added to it.

They made a "Pepsi Light" back in the late 70's. It was reduced calorie, plus lemon flavoring. Repulsive!

I liked Crystal Pepsi. It had a unique taste to it. Coke 2 sucked though. I remember trying it and just chucked it. It was nasty.

It seemed to me that "New Coke" was formulated to taste more like Pepsi. Since I prefer Pepsi, I liked the new coke and only drink coke now if it is from a fountain. Otherwise I joined the Pepsi Generation.

Well another day gone and the beer needs to be flowing again
