Can't wait till Mother Nature's fireworks shows start up. Nothing better than sitting on your porch or patio and watching the display. I could sit and watch them for hours. Who else?

I had a fat science teacher in 8th grade who loved storms. She was a weird lady.

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Yeah, thunderstorms are great when you dont have to videotape a car race that nite. Just in the past 3 years alone, I have been...almost hit by a tornado in Selinsgrove PA, had lightning strike a telephone pole 100 feet away from me in Valley Forge on the PA turnpike last summer, two years ago me and my friend were driving to Allentown PA to shoot when somewheres out by Phillipsburg NJ the sky turned green, the wind picked up, and we were bombarded by golf-ball sized hail that was 4 inches deep on the ground. Oh yeah, Thunderstorms are great on lets say a Monday nite, but on the weekends, I like sunshine! Now, living here in PA, I think I may chase a couple of them tornado producing ones that happen out in Lancaster County on a weekday afternoon if i can get my video shit up and running. That would be cool, but not on a race nite.

Well, I love a rainy night. I love a rainy night. I love to hear the thunder, watch the lightning when it lights up the sky. You know it makes me feel good.

I was wondering how long before Eddie Rabbit made an appearance.

Jim- I know what you mean about the weekends, and about doing the videotaping, let me relate one of my experiences.

I used to work for a TV production company where we would do different sporting events. I was in a four story camera tower when a thunderstorm rolled through the area (lasted about 15-20 minutes). The winds hit at least 50 mph and we were getting flashes of lightning every few seconds. I was surprised that we didn't get a tornado or something. Needless to say, I was a little concerned being I was perched 40 feet or so in the the air in a metal-encased tower. We had a guy who worked with us that was in a tower once and got hit when a storm rolled through. Destroyed the equipment, dislocated his shoulder, and he woke up in the hospital and didn't recall anything. I still love to watch the storms, though. Nothing like watching it roll in over the water or a large open field.

I love to watch as well...
always trying to time the delay between the lightning and the thunder...

is it true that before someone gets hit by lightning that their hair stands up...
I think to myself if that's true then maybe if i think quick enough I can jump out of the way?
okay, somebody straighten my ass out on this one, please...

Nothing better than a thunderstorm! Especially when you don't have to be anywhere in particular and you're with someone who rocks your world.
