"I am slowly turning into the Andy Rooney of the board and I don't like it"
What a classic! And you were absolutely right when you said radio back in those days had no bias, Heckler. I wish someone would be brave enough to do it today; I'd love to hear some great old soul, R&B, country, and funk mixed in with my Rock and Roll.
Variety is the spice of life.

Thanks again, Rooster!

I love the commercials, especially Robert Hall and Wetsons.
I can spend hours on this site.

James, one night I spent 2 hours listening to the "airchecks". There are many live reads and promos. Sorry I can't be more specific.

Anyone remember when Howard Cosell did his sports report every night on WABC? "This is Howard Cosell, speaking of sports".

Hey Cousin! I've always thought of this board as "Theater of the Mind".

I remember listening to the Beatles' "White A;bum" debut on Cousin Brucie's show in 1969! God. I'm getting fucking old!

Guys like Harry Harrison, Dan Ingram and Cousin Brucie still sound great to this day. And now, CBS-FM is playing more 70's and 80's stuff.
In a very small way, you can go home again.

Hard to believe that DC's own George Michael of "The George Michael's Sports Machine" (and WRC-TV) was once a WABC DJ.

It's hard to believe that George Michael was using cow bells and funny whistle sounds before he had that big sports super computer.Go figure.
