I just wanted to see if anyone goes to any broadway/off-broadway plays?
I just saw "De le Guarda", which could be the coolest thing I saw in a while. If you like loud music, people flying through the air, and people getting soaking wet, then check it out.

been to a few broadway/off-broadway plays over the years(a bit expensive) but enjoyed them immensely...
i have alot of respect for the hard work and effort given by the performers for the purpose of entertaining others with music, acting, and storytelling...
There's no second takes with the Live performance...

I love taking my wife to the theater. We try to get discount tickets every few weeks, though lately everything I've wanted to see we've had to pay full price.
I think, therefore I am..............a moron.

Friends of mine saw the show about Joplin and liked it alot, said the 2 women they have performing have great voices.

The best off broadway show was Hedwid and the Angry Rich, which is enjoying a great film run at the Screening Room on Fri and Sat nights @ midnight. If anyone didn't see it when the show originally ran the movie is a good representation and stands well on its own.

As far as on Broadway, I havent seen anything since Rocky Horror closed down at the beginning of the year.

Rent is a great show,
also the Producers (good luck getting tickets)
urinetown- brand new political satire comedy-
getting great reviews.
Alot of shows are going bankrupt and shutting
down so if you get a chance, go see a show and
support the cause.

I agree about both "De La Guarda", and "Urinetown". They are very different shows, but both so unique. The most inventive and amazing performance I have seen was a couple of years ago, "Hedwig and the Angry Inch". If you went on a Friday or Saturday night show, it was like being at a small party. FABULOUS!
I had tickets to "The Producers", last year, and couldn't go because I was sick. I could NOT believe how that happened, since I rarely get sick.

Broadway is killing itself.
High ticket prices are to blame, along with the crap that's produced nowadays.
Nevermind that half priced ticket booth, they are putting on too many bad shows. I would rather spend my money to see an opera, or a ballgame.
