Im not sure if this belongs in OS or Entertainment

I used to love that damn show and I miss watching it too. Did that guy ever get home? Or rather back in his own body?

i loved this show so much, and i almost cried after the finale when they revealed during the post script that he never got home. I think they did that to leave the door open for all the movies that they never made

I only watched a few episodes. I always had a question though......he didnt' remember his life? Didn't he leap home once and he had a gf/wife and when Sam had to leap back to the past, she told Al not to tell him about her? Wouldn't they want him to leap back to the girl he left behind?

I love Quantum Leap. I still watch the reruns every day at 4 on Sci Fi.

The reson he didn't remember his life was becaue his mind would meld with the people he would "leap" into....causing a swiss chesse effect. His wife told al not to tell him about her because she didn't want him to compromise his duties.

The last episode was really sad, except that he managed to get Al the love of his life back. That was awesome.

I also remember that one episode, where he leaped into the life of this one woman, 3 times and she had his baby or something?

I lvoed that show
in the last episode he never did get back home but he did help al....my favorite epiesode was the one that was when he was in the mental instituion and he was having flashbacks of each person he was it was a realyl great episode and I think scott bacula in that episode deserved at least an emmy nomination it was just so intense...damn i wish i could see that show now i miss it...maybe they sell tehm on dvds

That was a great show that really never got great recognition. One of my favorite episodes was when there was a woman that was another Leaper. Her mission was to stop Sam from completing his with help also from an evil Al.

Not sure how we missed this news coming out of Comic-Con until now, but for Quantum Leap fans, it might have been the BIGGEST news to come out of Comic-Con. Quantum Leap will be back. And it will be back on the big screen. (http://blastr.com/2010/08/scott-bakula-there-will-b.php)

At the "A Leap of Faith—A Quantum Leap Retrospective" panel, Scott Bakula shared the big news with the 600 fans who attended:

The good news is that Don [Quantum Leap creator Donald P. Bellisario] is working on the film script and has a big time Hollywood producer who wants to do it ... It's about time. But what I always thought would happen, happened ... [that he's now too old for the role]. But Dean [Stockwell, who played Al] and I will have a part in it somehow.
Don did say that as he was writing, he told me he was having trouble, 'getting you and Dean out of my head.' But I know he will do it.

I dont know why he couldnt use them now. I mean, if the guys supposed to have been leaping all this time it would make sense to age, right? So now what are they gonna ruin it by casting some douchebag like Zak Efron in the role? I used to love that show.

From the quote it seemed that the person who is now too old is Don Bellisario, who is in his 70s now, I think. So he won't be directly involved, but will instead do a script and hand over the film to a different producer.

great show.

hulu has the first 2 seasons online.

also, netflix has the whole series available on dvd, and most episodes are also available for streaming.

Um...the way I read the quote it sounded like Bakula and Stockwell are too old to play their old roles and would be cast in cameos instead.

He did, but he does a great job in Men of a certain age..

So he could pull it off..

I think Hulu has episodes, not sure how many seasons.
