i did a couple of years ago. i started another job and nobody really "had the time" to train me, so i only knew how to do certain things, the rest of the time i was bored silly (thank god for email) and the place was just so unorganized and crazy. after about 3 months of being there, the guy that i worked with was quitting. i wouldve had to take over his workload, which i wouldnt have had a problem with if somebody, anybody would have fucking trained me. my boss was never in the office, so i never really had the opportunity to talk to him. on top of that, my department was in trouble because the company was in the process of being bought out, so we didnt know if there'd be layoffs. i just got fed up one day and decided it wasnt worth the stress, so i told this guy, who wasnt my boss, but i guess he was a step up from me, that i was leaving. the funny thing is now i'm in another job, and the guy who i told i was leaving works for this company now.

I was fired because I was sorely underqualified.

I realized my charm, ability to bullshit well, and good looks can only get me so far.

with my old job. but i didn't walk
out, i gave them ten days

Ive quit on 2 jobs in my life. The first was working at Mcdonalds, I hated one of the managers and told him to go fuck himself. The second was this job working with a real anal retentive photgrapher. This asswipe wanted me to take days off from school to work weddings with him. On top of that the guy was a complete physco, he used to punch walls whenever I didnt understand anything he said. Allthough Ill admit his work was OUTSTANDING!

About 8 years ago I was workinng in retail and one of the glass shelves fell cutting a huge h=gash in my left leg. 21 stitches and 3 months of disability later I went back to my job to find my awesome supervisor had left. The store manager put himself in charge of my department until she could be replaced. He let me do whatever I wanted and understanding that I was now deathly afraid of those glass shelves he'd always give the job of filling them to a part timer. Once a new manager was hired she pretty much told me do what she says and fill those shelves or leave...I walked right out.
Funniest part was the next day the head of human resources called me to fire me for not coming in. I said thank you, hung up and went straight down to unemployment. The idiot was so embarrassed he didn't contest my benefits. :p

The closest I got to be fired was about 20 years- I got in a fist fight with a sergeant of mine while on duty and got suspended for 10 days- so I went to Miami for a week-fuck him!!- Noow he's dead and I'm not-teehee!

I've quit more jobs than most people will have in their lives!

I once told the owner of the company that I worked for that he was a "heartless cocksucker" and asked him to step outside. He took that as my resignation.

I used to work at Jenny Craig. On my break I would eat my lunch in the stock room out of view from the clients. Well one day my boss yelled at me because I left the stock room a mess. I was pissed so the next day I decided to eat my lunch in the lobby where the guests come in. Now picture all of these people coming in hoping to lose weight and instead finding me pigging out on an Italian Hoagie, Twinkies and Dr.Pepper!!! I swear I saw this one lady drooling:)
My boss always stepped out for lunch so she wasn't there but I can only imagine the look on her face when she came back from lunch and heard what I had just done before I walked out!!!!!! What's my mfn name?!?!

I quit my last job (yeah, gave them 2 weeks notice- I'm still a nice guy) when I got the commitment letter from my current employer. My previous boss drove out 2 previous supervisors for not supporting them when they worked at the client site. Whenever anything went wrong, they would support you to your face, then sell you out to the client, blaming you for what is their fault. I wound up as supervisor (I was low guy on the totem pole, but the only one who could run certain equipment), and my job search provided fruit about 6 months later. Faxed in my resignation in the morning, and it took them TWO DAYS to respond- "Oh, we better find someone to replace you, huh?"
