Who do you think came close or got left behind when wrestling exploded in popularity circa '85? For me it's The Magnificent Muraco. Classic heal, classic fueds w/ Morales, Backlund, and Snuka. A guy the fans loved to hate, so much so they would boo because he was from Hawaii.(that evil island) And the "beach bum" chants. And please don't mention that lame "rock" babyface gimmick they tried with him, it just spoils it.
