Anybody remember Starblazers? G-Force? When I was kid I remember watching this anime where this huge robot would brake apart into tanks, jet planes and come back together again. He looked like Voltron but that wasn't his name. Anybody remember this show? What was your favorite animation?

i loved g force when i catch it on cartoon network
i think you are refering to one of the other voltrons, it was 52 vehicles. the third volron was 3 robots that turned into 1 big one. they all guarded different parts of the galaxy.

Hey, if you want to get technical, Dragon Ball, the
prequel to Dragon Ball Z, is an old school anime. It

Very impressive Dogg! Did you know that the DBZ we see here on television is totally edited? The one seen in Japan is much more bloodier. The colors are also toned down here due to kids having seizures.

Hey cheez,
Online you can purchase those with subtitles! Home of the free right! Everything here is dumbed down to protect the kids, yet the cartoon is for adults too if not more. Dam, I sound like Norton. Anyway, DB, DBZ, and DBGT all rule in their own way. I own about 50 on DVD so I better be a fan huh? But some of the edits are so corny and obvious. You have to laugh and realize what really went down. Later boyz....

No shit DBZ is heavily edited on TV. I could tell in
the first episode where the turtle hermit is drinking
blue beer. The last time I checked, there is no such

I have a random queston about Japanamation...why is it that whenever after a character says a line, it is followed by a "HUH" or "oooooh" or some other weird grunting suprised noise, despite there being no situation that would warrant such a weird expression? For example, if you watch even pokemon, the kid would say, "Oh look, its a jigglypuff behind the tree, ooooooooh ahhhhh owwwwwe" Anyone else realize this?

I thought I was the only one that noticed that Big Jim!!?? Sometimes I do it my self...hmm (nods head).
50 anime dvd's? You got me beat for now spoon. Blue beer? Ridiculous Dogg! Akira was cool and set the standard but Ghost In The Shell takes the cake for me!! Isn't The Iron Giant a remake of Gigantor? Or at least a re-telling?

Mazinger Z was always a fave of mine.
Kimba the White Lion was what Disney plagiarized.....uh, I mean, drew inspiration from....when the made the Lion King.
DBZ is fairly hardcore for a kid's cartoon. If you can find it, sometimes they air it unedited on the spanish stations. I can see why they edit it. Back during the Frieza saga, they showed little kids being blown to atoms on Namek.

You wanna know what the scary thing is? DBZ
wasn't originally meant for kids. It was meant to be
aimed at teenagers when it hit in Japan but the
dubbing company, which has the intellengence of al
dukes, wanted to aim it at little kids when they

Voltron rocks but that 3D show was kinda iffy. I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Transformers! C'mon people!! Remember the theme song to the movie! How about Beast Wars? That was great! Beast Machines looks cool but doesn't have the feel that BW had.
