the first 3 albums were okay

now there too big so they dont even try to make new songs and then relase lots of live albums

To this day...Paul Simon is the only person to tap the talent of South Africa with his Graceland album...Dave Mathews does not deserve to play with such talented musicians...His voice, demeanor, receeding hairline, and obnoxious electric acoustic guitar stylings make me want to shoot myself.
Needless to say I am not a fan.

Dave Matthews was my Ex's favorite band. She almost had me liking them; luckily after my brief bout of insanity found a few uses for DM cd's.


1) Trap shooting practice. They wont fit in the launcher so an equally stoned friend is necessary.

2) A cheap and dangerous indoor frisbee.

3) Use them as sliders to move your furniture around.

4) And of course coasters.

i totally agree....dave matthews is an acquired taste....sort of like brussel sprouts...he he....seriously tho, i always hated them...then i started dating this guy who was a fan...and during most of our "moments" dave was playing....so you kind of relate nice loving times with his music and then you actually start to like it....plus he is still wildly popular on college campuses...at least here he is

Well, to each his own. My wife and I love the Dave Matthews Band. I started liking them in college, and continue to their albums and go to their concerts. It's funny that people think their fans are snobs. I always liked them because they seemed like anything but snobs.

I don't get it, at best Dave Matthews band is an average band with a few decent songs. I dont understand why they have such a strong following.

i never really got into them. but i tried to learn a few songs, and i'll tell ya, they are some damn good musicians, even if they are hard to listen to

Dave Mathews is one of the best bands out there today!!!

(even though there latest album stunk)

Everything they released before this past albumn was incredible... and say what you want about them but don't even TRY to say they are not amazing musicians

The music they have put together over the past years has been inovative, doing things that NO other band is doing... incorporating different styles and insrtuments into what I would call there own unique style of music that is nearly impossible to duplicate (because it is that Fucking hard to pay and create)

Any of you who say they "suck" obviously know NOTHING about music .. cause even if you do not like the music itself, you still respect what incredible musician they are and what they have accompished
