here's my take on the issue:

i think that opie and anthony are wrong and shouldn't be ignoring their own show's probelms by criticizing other shows and/or management. that said, i'm a becoming a BIG fan of don and mike and here's how i would rank the wnew shows:

1) R&F, 2) D&M, 3) FARREL (get rid of the other guy, please), 4) O&A.

i catch about an hours each of farrel, d&m, and o&a, and usually listen to all of r&f. truly, i have no life (although i do have a web site and its really an awesome web site and i have a link to ronfez.net on my web site).

if i want to, maybe later, i'll explain my rankings. also, i might never post here again but is that really possible?

man i'm really glad the pinoins expressed here are in the minority. don and mike are by far the unfunniest show on wnew and that dumping out of whatever opie said made me lose respect for them. i listened ocasinally but when you start acting like howard stern and imus dumping out of words then it's time to go. i can'twait till they bomb in philly big bastatrds they are and forver will be.

I never thought Don and Mike were funny until I bowled against them. Then I saw that actually they are very funny... looking. But I totally enjoy the other people on that show - Rob, Buzz, etc.
Still-,why worry about these other shows... we all know the only show that is truely and purely funny, without having to rely on the boring old themes of breasts, insults, etc. R&F are so much more creative than anyone else.

They started to put Don and Mike replay on after R&F down here in DC, (which plays from 11pm to 1am) and I'm so glad they did. I used to be up an extra 3 hours laughing at the Sports Junkies, but Don and Mike are like radio NyQuil zzzzzzzzz.

i love ron and fez and o and a. ive never listened to the sports guys. After a year of occasionallly listenign to don and mike becase there was nothin better on. They are not funnyy, i dont think ive ever laughed listening but occasionally they have contests that are amusing. so i suppose ove gotten used to them, but they sure as hell aint funny.

When i moved back to NY last summer i thought d&m were better then o&a but that changed after a month. Mike just plain sucks but he does good impressions. I actually listen to music alot instead of thier show.....Ferrall is a great listen, but they need to lose the other guy

listen to Don and Mike once in a while... I think they're okay, they play towards an older crowd(late 20's up to 40) whereas Ron and Fez play towards teenagers and people in their early to mid 20's...
I like Ron and Fez cause they're just plain funny, regardless of the topic...
And they pretty much share the airtime...
Don I believe takes more of the airtime although I like Mike and his wit more...
It's like Adam Corolla on LoveLine, he takes more of the airtime and sometimes seems to babble just to babble or he feels obligated to babble to maintain that edge in airtime... Sometimes I just have to turn him off...
Ron and Fez are a true team...

O&A have a legitimate gripe with Don and Mike. Most specifically:

1. 18 minutes of commercials? UNACCEPTABLE from anyone. That is NOT a lead-in.

2. Don and Mike, outside of Washington (and a few small markets), get SHIT ratings, and have brought down O&A as a lead-in (specifically in NYC). O&A don't want their numbers to go down now in Philly because of D&N being broadcast there. To make matters worse, O&A were not consulted about this move. Ken & Jeremy, showing their typical pussy behavior, neglected to tell them. No respect at all.

3. Don and Mike censore O&A in D.C. when they want to.

4. Don, specifically, does everything he can to manipulate behind O&A's back to try to screw them over, then presents a friendly image to them to their face.

Bottom line: Don and Mike are old fucking tools who don't realize it's OVER. O&A (and R&F) are the future. And that drives Geronimo crazy.

Oy Vey. I'll admit I like Don and Mike, but regardless of that, let me get a few opinions off my chest.

1. What the HELL is this about 18 minutes of commercials? It was about 9 minutes of commercials, and O&A have done the same to Ron and Fez in the past. Sometimes it just happens.

2. The whole lead-in thing is a load of crap. When Howard Stern was pulling big afternoon ratings, he NEVER had a lead-in doing more than a one share, just like Don and Mike. O&A don't need a lead-in. Their fan base will listen to them no matter who's on before them.

3. O&A flat out don't like Don and Mike, and they want their fans to feel the same way. They have a right to feel that way if they choose, but don't for a minute think anything wrong in that relationship is 100% Don and Mike's fault. And don't think it was a coincidence that Opie has his big rant when D&M will be on vacation the next day and can't respond.

4. I spoke to a friend of mine in DC who said WJFK did NOT dump out of Opie's diatribe. I admit, he's the only person I spoke to, but I don't see why he'd tell me that if they were dumping out. If anyone in DC was listening, I'd like to know what REALLY happened Thursday on O&A's show.

5. A lot of people have brought up that O&A's ratings are way down. I think some of that is 9/11, but I for one just don't think they're as good as they were 6-12 months ago. It's possible that the ratings indicate I'm not the only person who feels that way.

O&A at their best are a great team, and that's all they should care about. So Don and Mike have sucked as a lead-in in New York...true O&A fans care about the O&A show, and they don't not listen because they don't like Don and Mike. That's my opinion.
